7 foods you should never give your baby

Do you know what food you should never give your baby?

During your baby’s first months, the diet should only consist of milk and nothing else. In some cases, they need to be fed with compensation, but the absolute best food for the first time in life is breast milk.

But after the first four months have passed, a period begins when the child begins to adapt. During that time, they can start eating some food as a supplement to the milk. This food should be natural and simple and is usually about the same for all children.

Parents can start by supplementing their babies’ milk intake with smooth-mixed, simple, natural creams and purees. Fruit purees are a typical first thing to introduce. Then you can start giving other foods gradually.

But while introducing new foods, be careful. New foods can affect small babies’ stomachs and cause pain, among other things. Adjust how you cook the food and the amount you give your baby to facilitate digestion, and increase the amount gradually.

Regardless of what you like or do not like, there are foods you should never give a baby for 12 months. In fact, it should be eaten with caution up to the age of four.

foods that you should never give to your baby

What you should never give your baby is:

1. Sugar

Although sugar is a common ingredient in food , babies do not need to eat it. In fact, breast milk and substitutes already contain enough sugar.

If you want to make the food sweeter to get a better taste, it is better to do it with the help of fruit. Sugar can cause cavities in the teeth at an early age.

2. Honey

A natural substitute for sugar that is common to give children is honey, but what many do not know is that honey contains almost exactly the same substances as refined sugar.

Another problem is that honey can also contain a bacterium that can damage digestion.

Salt

Like honey and sugar, salt is widely used to enhance the taste of food, but it is also harmful. This is something you should never give to your baby as it can damage your kidneys.

It is only recommended to use salt in moderate amounts from the time the baby is 12 months old.

4. Seafood

Some seafood contains a lot of mercury, something that comes from pollutants in the sea. It is found in all seas and when the fish get it, it stays in their organs.

5. Some vegetables

Seaweed, chard, spinach and borage all have a lot of nitrates. When eaten to a greater extent , they can reduce the amount of oxygen in the blood and instead convert them to nitrite.

6. Artificial and light products

It is not good to give children foods that are low in fat artificially. These are, for example, foods such as low-fat milk or other products that have been produced in special ways to get a lower fat content.

The fat in these products is an important part of a child’s food intake because they provide them with vitamins and energy.

7. Other foods, depending on how they are prepared

There are foods you can cook in many different ways and which depending on the cooking affect them. These are not foods that need to be completely excluded from a baby’s diet, but avoid them in certain forms.

Avoid: Raw products from the animal kingdom, whole dried fruits, rice-based drinks, fried foods, meringues, ice cream and the like.
