Craft with plastic bottles: Animals

Children love animals. Therefore, crafts that involve creating animals are something they will always enjoy. In addition, they have the ability to create different animals from a single starting material.

For this you need:

  • A plastic bottle
  • Different colored papers
  • Scissor
  • Paint
  • Brushes

The first step is to mark the lower part of the bottle because you only need the lower half for this craft. Once you have cut it, the next step is to decorate and paint it, depending on which animal you have chosen.

If you have several water bottles, you can take the opportunity to create different animals, such as a pig, a zebra or a cow. There are hundreds of possibilities – you just need your imagination.

A piggy bank

Children will love making their own piggy bank that they can save all the money they get in. You have two options with this hobby: to just save banknotes or save both coins and banknotes.

If you choose the first option, it is not necessary to cut the bottle as you can use the opening to put the banknotes in your piggy bank. But if you also want to be able to save coins, you have to make a notch on the top of the pig to be able to put them in.

To decorate the piggy bank, you also have two options: cover it with paper or paint it with paint.

A space rocket to explore the universe through your child’s imagination

  2. For the wings, cut out the correct shape in the box and cover with foil before attaching them with glue to the rocket.

Grodspel

Some games are so classic that they never lose their charm. Do you remember the game with a frog with an open mouth that you would put buttons in your mouth on?

The same frog game is what we are going to do now with the following materials:

  • A large water bottle (5 liters or more)
  • Paper in different colors
  • Glue
  • Scissor

The first step is to create the frog’s mouth. To do this, make a hole in the front of the bottle, about halfway up. It must be large enough to be able to enter the game buttons correctly.

When you are done, use the colored papers to create eyes, mouth pores and the frog’s hands. Now you are ready to play the game!
