And honestly, who does not love these amazing little divr? Their favorite way of expressing themselves is actually dancing, singing and hugging! 2. The Lego movie

We can not talk about classic, traditional toys without mentioning Lego. No matter how old you are, whether you are a child or an adult, Lego never loses its allure. From being no more than small building blocks, Lego today builds a whole world for children – and adults – to explore and dream away in.

Lego offers endless possibilities to construct, fantasize and invent. From castles to skyscrapers, space stations to miniature versions of all the world’s monuments… You can create everything your heart desires.

Given Lego’s gigantic success, it’s no surprise that the 2014 Lego movie was such a huge success. The film grossed about $500 million. We recommend that you watch this movie and all the colorful characters with the whole family.

3. Playmobil: The Movie

The third on our list of movies based on toys is Playmobil: The Movie . Lego may be one of the most popular traditional toys, but Playmobil is not far behind. With both dolls and endless accessories, such as a farmhouse, a shopping center, an airplane, a hospital, a pirate ship and many more, Playmobil attracts with a world as big as Lego.

So once again, film directors saw the opportunity to reach today’s children and those who were children yesterday. Animation Studios released the film in 2019, with stars such as Daniel Radcliffe, Meghan Trainor and many more giving voices to the characters.

4. Bratz

If you were a child or youth just after the turn of the century, we are sure you are familiar with Bratz dolls. These dolls became an instant favorite for children after they were released in 2001. Many were fascinated by the opportunity to collect all the dolls, get new clothes for their wardrobes and even buy a convertible.

Bratz dolls are similar to Barbie dolls, but are much more daring. Their success led to the production of several animated films starring the puppets. Following the success of the cartoons, they continued to produce a live action version released in 2007.

5. Barbie

Another classic toy that generation after generation has played with is Barbie. There are almost 40 movies about this iconic doll. The first Barbie in the Nutcracker debuted in 2001 thanks to Mainframe Entertainment.

However, none of these films made it to the big screen. Instead, they were produced directly for VHS, to begin with, and later for DVD.

You may be wondering how the world’s most famous puppet has never raised particularly large sums of money for the film industry by name. Fortunately, that is about to change. Next year, Barbie will appear in her own film with real actors and actresses. And we can not wait to see it!

6. Transformers

These fantastic robots that can transform in a matter of seconds have been a hit with children since the 1980s. However, it was not until 2007 that the franchise took its characters to the cinemas. And, of course, they met with tremendous success. Since then, five more movies with these heroic robots have made their way to the big screen.
