After many attempts, you have discovered that you are finally pregnant, and you feel nervous: your body will begin to change and the first desires will appear. Here we suggest some tasty recipes for the first trimester.

During this phase, pregnant women begin to crave chocolate and ice cream, but it is also normal to crave various tasty dishes. Keep in mind that it is a myth that pregnant women  “must eat for two.”

You can pamper yourself (because you deserve it), but everything should be done in moderation.  The following recipes for the first trimester are both useful and good.

In the coming months, you will experience various wonderful sensations, but also a lot of fatigue. It is therefore okay to pamper yourself during the first stage. Remember:   the healthier you are, the healthier your baby will be.

Good recipes for the first trimester

During pregnancy, your needs will change. Your diet should be rich in folic acid, omega 3 and vitamin B12. Try to avoid saturated fats and excess sugar, as they can be harmful to your health.

Mango salad with cheese and avocado

Ingredients

  • cottage cheese
  • salad
  • oil
  • 1 avocado
  • salt
  • Mango
  • balsamic vinegar

Preparation

  • First, rinse vegetables and mangoes thoroughly. When this is done, cut all the fruit, avocado and cheese into pieces and mix them in a bowl of salad. Pour in a little oil and mix it all together.
  • Add a pinch of salt and balsamic vinegar. You can also add any fruit you like here. Finally, let the salad cool for a while in the fridge.

Veal with apple sauce

Ingredients

  • 800 g  veal
  • 1 apple
  • oil
  • salt
  • black pepper

Cooking:

  • Cut the veal into pieces and cook it. Meanwhile, cut the apple and mix it. When the apple is mixed, pour it on the veal and simmer for half an hour.
  • When this is done, add a pinch of salt and pepper. Now you have a delicious hot meal!

Stuffed potatoes with meat

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt
  • 2 dl wheat flour

 

Cooking

  • As always, the first thing you should do is rinse all the ingredients that need it. Then chop the potatoes, onions and garlic separately.
  • Boil the potatoes with a little milk until soft. Meanwhile, fry the onion and garlic in a saucepan.
  • Add minced meat and salt and fry until the meat gets a golden brown color. Then add the boiled eggs. Let the mixture cool, then make balls of the potatoes and fill them with the minced meat mixture.
  • Rub the balls with flour and fry them. When they turn golden brown, your dish is ready!

Banana cake

Ingredients

  • 75 g butter
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 2.5 dl sugar
  • 100 g block chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2.5 dl wheat flour

Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a pot. Let cool. Mix it with wheat flour, salt and baking powder. Meanwhile, chop the bananas and mix them with milk. Pour the eggs into another bowl and beat for a few minutes.
  • Then mix bananas, eggs and flour mixture together. Chop block chocolate and add chocolate pieces and sugar.
  • Spread some butter in a frying pan with a removable bottom. Pour in the mixture and bake for 40 minutes at 175 degrees.
  • When the time has passed, take out the cake and let it cool.
